POWER AT SCALE
DEVELOPING NUCLEAR POWER AT SCALE
Who We Are
We are a nuclear power project developer. We work with our partners, customers, and other project stakeholders to deploy SMRs and MMRs, with a primary focus on Data Centers, Military Bases, University Systems, and Large Industrial Facilities.
What We Do
We empower high-growth sectors to push beyond the limitations of conventional power options, driving growth in the broader economy.
How We Do It
We, along with our partners, reduce impediments to deployment by maximizing value to the customer. Our approach is optimized to achieve rapid scale of the SMR and MMR fleet.
SPEED
We work with our partners and customers to identify ideal deployment opportunities, with early and active engagement and collaboration to ensure projects remain on schedule.
SMRs are expected by early 2030s and MMRs by late 2029. Both are on schedule, currently under active development by established nuclear firms.
Future projects will aim for 24-48 month construction timelines and reduced costs.
CONFIDENCE
We partner with legacy nuclear firms, with 60+ years designing, manufacturing, and maintaining SMRs and MMRs.
We work with all project stakeholders to jointly develop optimal strategies for mitigating project risks. This enhances returns on investment, while encouraging subsequent deployments.
Utility-Grade SMRs effectively match design life of customer facilities.
MMRs are self-contained with 8+ years of fuel, requiring minimal personnel for continuous operations.
SCALE
SMRs are factory built, and designed to be assembled, and deployed at scale.
We specialize in larger SMR generating units that provide greater power stability to large, high-intensity loads, eliminating power distortions on the public grid.
These units have sufficient capacity to safely provide power to grid-connected critical facilities during extreme weather events and other unplanned outages with an expected lifespan of 60+ years.
PREDICTABLE COSTS
SMRs and MMRs developed by our partners rely on standard nuclear fuel (LEU), which has been the fuel used in all civilian U.S. reactors for 30+ years.
O&M costs are based on multi-year fixed contracts with highly-qualified and experienced operators.
By taking advantage of existing power infrastructure, such as decommissioned coal sites, new SMRs can reduce deployment costs.
The Orion Nuclear Difference
We are a nuclear power developer, specializing in the deployment of small modular reactors (SMRs) and micro modular reactors (MMRs) expected to enter commercial service in 2029-2030.
Our primary focus is Data Centers, Military Bases, University Systems, and Large Industrial Facilities.
We partner with leading nuclear technology companies, identify and develop projects, arrange financing, acquire land, build nuclear facilities, and sell electricity to large, high-power-intensity offtakers. We acquire assets for the long-term, add value, and hold them for the benefit of our partners and customers.

Nuclear is the Optimal Solution for Achieving Climate Goals
SMRs produce the lowest lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions, including CO2
Small modular nuclear reactors (SMRs) represent a pivotal advancement in our pursuit of global climate goals, offering a viable solution to minimize carbon emissions while ensuring a reliable energy supply.
Their compact design and scalable technology allow for deployment and integration into existing energy systems in 24-48 months, as compared to traditional nuclear which can require 10+ years to construct.
SMRs complement renewable sources like solar and wind by providing sustained, non-intermittent power.
SMRs can significantly contribute to energy diversification, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and enhancing energy security. By staying committed to ensuring a series of deployments, we can achieve the scale required to accelerate our transition to a low-carbon future while supporting the demands of a thriving economy.
Operational Reliability is a Key Benefit of SMRs
Capacity Factor
Nuclear provides the highest capacity factor of any generation source. This demonstrates the reliability of nuclear reactors operated by experienced firms. Capacity factor has actually increased over the years, despite the fact that most reactors are more than 40 years old.
On-Site SMR power Customers will benefit from the consistency of nuclear power.
Maximize Economic Benefits to Local Communities
SMRs Provide Long-Term, High-Income Jobs
Base-line estimates for two large SMRs would create approximately 500-700 full-time, long-term, high-paying jobs.
Deploying SMRs would produce a substantial, sustainable, long-term positive effect by increasing economic activity throughout the local community.
